Green’s Harbour resident charged with impaired driving
A 54-year-old male resident of Green’s Harbour is facing a charge of impaired driving after a breath test found his blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
The accused was arrested by members of the Placentia/Whitbourne District RCMP during the early afternoon of Sept. 20 following an anonymous complaint.
Two breath samples were provided, with the highest having a reading of 240 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The other sample recorded 220 millilitres of alcohol. The maximum reading permitted is 80 millilitres.
The accused was issued a 90-day provincial suspension of his driving privileges, charged under the Criminal Code and is to appear in provincial court in Harbour Grace at a later date.
