BISHOP (Butt), Ce­cily Stella Jean — passed away peace­fully on Oct. 9, 2012 at the QE II HSC, Hal­i­fax. Ce­cily was born in Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear, NL, and leaves to mourn her lov­ing, car­ing hus­band of 57 years, Alexan­der, son Paul Bishop (Venus), daugh­ter Kel­lie Grant (Shel­don), grand­chil­dren Bran­don, David, Emily and Ni­co­las; sis­ter Daphne (Bruce) Ab­bott; brother John (Ruby) Butt; nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews in Nova Sco­tia and in New­found­land. Cre­ma­tion has taken place. A memo­rial ser­vice was sched­uled for Satur­day Oct. 13, 2012 in At­lantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. Earle of Car­bon­ear, age 82 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: Hazel; sons: Wil­liam and Kevin; par­ents: Al­bert and Jessie; broth­ers: Clarence, John and Jim; sis­ter: An­nie Mutrey; son-in-law: Arthur Os­mond. Left to mourn, two daugh­ters: Vi­o­let (Jerry) Fo­ley and El­iz­a­beth Earle, both of Car­bon­ear; two sons: Cephas (Joan) and Eric (Kathy), both of Car­bon­ear; daugh­ter-in-law: Mar­ion Earle, Car­bon­ear; eight grand­chil­dren: Chris, Melissa (Her­bie), Chad, Sa­man­tha (Billy), Tif­fany, Paul, Amanda and Ni­cholas; one great-grand­daugh­ter: Emily; three sis­ters: Stella (Nel­son) Tay­lor, Bris­tol’s Hope, Dorothy (Patty) But­ler and Vi­o­let Thomey, both of Car­bon­ear; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Car­bon­ear. Capt. Darin and Ma­jor Wendy Boone con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Tues­day, Oct. 9 at the Sal­va­tion Army Ci­tadel, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment took place in the United Ceme­tery, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear. Do­na­tions in his mem­ory may be made to the Arthur W. Earle Memo­rial Fund.
