MUR­RAY, Chester — Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 23, 2012, Chester Mur­ray of Car­bon­ear, age 86 years. Pre­de­ceased by 1st wife: Au­drey; 2nd wife: Mary; par­ents: Richard and Laura; sis­ter: Shirley Chubbs; sis­ters-in-law: Eileen Cot­ter and Mar­jorie Pin­sent; broth­ers-in-law: Wil­liam Bar­rett, Calvin Sey­mour and Joseph Chubbs. Left to mourn, two daugh­ters: Vir­ginia (Arthur) Butt and Bar­bara (Peter) Reynolds, both of Car­bon­ear; step-daugh­ter: Carol Anne Broom­field, Co­ley’s Point; eight grand­chil­dren: Au­drey, Chad (Jen­nifer), Mur­ray (Jenny), Andy (Michelle), An­drew (Kayla), Brian (Melissa), Jimmy (Amanda) and Ja­son (Santina); six great-grand­chil­dren: Ben­jamin, Noah, Parker, Dy­lan, Jil­lian and Jes­sica; three sis­ters: He­len Bar­rett, Car­bon­ear, Irene (Ed­ward) Tay­lor and Max­ine Sey­mour, both of Har­bour Grace; broth­ers-in-law: John Pin­sent, Ed­mon­ton, AB; a num­ber of nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Wa­ter Street, Car­bon­ear. Rev. Brian Col­bourne con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26 from Noel’s Memo­rial Chapel, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment took place in Bethany United Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear. Do­na­tions in his mem­ory may be made to a char­ity of one’s choice.
