MOORE, Mar­garet “Pamela” (How­ell) R.N — Passed peace­fully away, af­ter a pro­longed ill­ness, at Credit Val­ley Hospi­tal in Mis­sis­sauga, ON on Thurs­day Jan­uary 31, 2013 in her 64th year. For­merly of Car­bon­ear, NL and Burling­ton, ON. Beloved wife of Peter for 41 years, lov­ing mother of Keith (Laura), cher­ished grandma of Jonathan, Rachel and Bethany. Dear sis­ter of Trudi (Gerry Do­minie), Deb­bie (Jack­son Butt), Carolyn (Don Ja­cobs), Dunc (Eva), Jack (Daphne) and Bill (Fay). Lov­ingly re­mem­bered by brother-in-law Dave (Betty), the late Ralph (late Co­lette), sis­ter-in-law Eleanor (Art) Web­ber and numer­ous nieces and neph­ews. PAR­SONS, James H. — Passed peace­fully away sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal on Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 8, 2013, James H. Par­sons of Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear, age 89 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: Ma­bel; son: Dou­glas; par­ents: Ge­orge and Ju­lianne Par­sons; sis­ter: Nel­lie Oates; brother: Leonard; daugh­ter-in-law: Mar­i­lyn Par­sons-An­tle. Left to mourn, eight daugh­ters: Judy (Lloyd) Green, Car­bon­ear, Elsie (Will) Collins, Vic­to­ria, Dal­las (Eric) Par­sons, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear, He­len (Hu­bert) Par­sons, Salmon Cove, Leona (Randy) King and Su­san (Dennis) Green, both of Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear, Clau­dia (Bernie) Woodrow, Salmon Cove and Claudette (David) White, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear; five sons: Bert (Fred­er­ica), Nel­son and Jim (Denise), all of Car­bon­ear, Evan (Bar­bara) and Ju­nior (Bon­nie), both of Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear; a large num­ber of grand­chil­dren, great-grand­chil­dren and great-great-grand­chil­dren; two sis­ters: Sarah Hatcher, Bonne Bay and Ethel Deer­ing, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear; daugh­ter-in-law: Har­riet Par­sons, Salmon Cove; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Car­bon­ear. Pas­tor Ge­of­frey Ryan con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 11 from Bethel Pen­te­costal Church, Vic­to­ria. PEN­NEY, Elizabeth V. ‘Betty’ — Passed peace­fully away at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 9, 2013, Elizabeth V. ‘Betty’ Pen­ney of Car­bon­ear, age 97 years. Pre­de­ceased by 1st hus­band: Johnathon Carew and 2nd hus­band: Abram Pen­ney; sis­ter: Dolly and step-grand­son: Terry. Left to mourn, son: Camp­bell (Sylvia) Carew, St. John’s; two grand­chil­dren: Christo­pher (Heidi) and An­drea (Paul); three great-grand­chil­dren: Sarah, Johnathon and Olivia; step-daugh­ter: Eileen (Woodrow) Snow, Kel­li­grews; two step-grand­chil­dren: Lisa and Tammy; sis­ter-in-law: Min­nie (Don) Kirby, Bos­ton. Ever loved and sadly missed by le­gions of dear friends and ex­tended fam­ily too numer­ous to men­tion. With a sharp wit, mind and sense of hu­mour that never left her, she leaves a gap in all our hearts. Till we meet again, rest now.
