Ceebee Stars send­ing four to 2013 Al­lan Cup

The Herder Me­mo­rial Tro­phy cham­pion CeeBee Stars will be send­ing four mem­bers of the team to the 2013 Al­lan Cup, which is set to be­gin on April 14 in Red Deer, Alta.

De­fence­men Mike Dyke and Doug O’Brien, plus for­wards Ryan De­laney and Chris Hulit, will be join­ing the Clarenville Cari­bous for the AAA na­tional se­nior hockey tour­na­ment.

The Cari­bous earned the right to rep­re­sent New­found­land and Labrador af­ter de­feat­ing the Grand Falls-Wind­sor Cataracts in the Herder Me­mo­rial Tro­phy fi­nals in 2012.

Dyke, Hulit, De­laney and O’Brien will be join­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Cataracts — Martin Lapointe, Sam Houn­sell, Matt Quinn — as well as the West­ern Roy­als — Brett Mor­ris­son — at the tour­na­ment.

David Vic­tor, Bran­don Roach, Jeremy Ka­vanagh, Jor­don Smith, Blake Gal­lagher, Ryan Des­rosiers, Matt Bragg, Brad Crann, Dustin Rus­sell, Dale Sul­li­van, An­drew Sweet­land, Stephen Oates, Bran­don Street, Ja­son Churchill and Roger Kennedy will be rep­re­sent­ing the Cari­bous.

Chad Locke of the Gan­der Fly­ers and Luke Gal­lant of the Cataracts were also asked, but were un­able to com­mit to the tour­na­ment.

The Cari­bous pre­vi­ously won the Al­lan Cup in 2011.
