AL­COCK, Ber­tram Dun­can – Born Novem­ber 27, 1942, for­merly of Har­bour Grace, passed peace­fully away at his home in Sud­bury, On­tario, May 3, 2013. Pre­de­ceased by daugh­ters-in-law Kim­ber­ley Penny-Al­cock and Shan­non Wal­ter-Al­cock. Sur­vived by loving wife Sadie Al­cock, sons Bert (Pauline), Ger­ald (An­nette), Steve (Lana), Tony (Lee), and Ted, 13 loving grand­chil­dren, broth­ers: Eric, David, and Doug, sis­ters: Elaine, Bar­bara, San­dra and Marion. Fu­neral will be held in Hamil­ton On­tario.

ASH, Eva M. – Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Fri­day, May 3, 2013, Eva M. Ash of Vic­to­ria, age 93 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Baden; par­ents: Fran­cis and Ce­celia Collins; five sis­ters and four broth­ers. Left to mourn, daugh­ter: Pa­tri­cia (Ker­mit) Bragg, Vic­to­ria; three grand­daugh­ters: Michelle (Shawn), Dana and Jo-Lynn (Kirk); six great­grand­chil­dren: Bran­don, Noah, Kyle, Maria, Lo­gan and Ma­son; broth­ers-in­law: Wil­fred Ash, Cal­i­for­nia and Isaac Car­a­van, Nova Sco­tia; spe­cial niece: Joan (Clin­ton) Peter­son, Colorado; spe­cial nephew: John (Stella) Bax­trom, Til­ton; spe­cial friend and care­giver: Deb­bie Pen­ney, Salmon Cove; also a large num­ber of nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives and friends. Pre­de­ceased by Step­son; Robert Par­son, brother-in-law Ralph Neil, Sis­ters; Jessie (Abel) Strat­ton, Edith (Frank) Green­ing, Ida (Roy) French, Myr­tis ( John) King, Broth­ers; Ch­es­ley (Muriel), Stan­ley (Elsie), Al­lan (Olive), Wil­liam (Ida). Leav­ing to mourn his loving wife, Mrs. Hazel Earle (Par­sons, nee Snow), cur­rently a pa­tient at the Miller Cen­tre, St. John’s. Step­sons David (Inge) Par­sons, Ge­orge (Mary) Par­sons, Tom (Bev­er­ley) Par­sons. Step daugh­ter-in-law; Peggy Par­sons, Sis­ter; Hul­dah Neil, Step grand­chil­dren; Jamie, Lisa, Bon­nie, Michael, Vickie, Rebecca, Jennifer, Ge­orge, Tommy and Robert. 16 step great-grand­chil­dren, and a large cir­cle of other rel­a­tives and fam­ily.
