KING, Al­lan — passed away peace­fully at his Vic­to­ria res­i­dence af­ter a lengthy bat­tle with can­cer on Thurs­day, May 30, 2013. Mr. King was 69 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving fam­ily wife Lor­raine King, son Cur­tis (Patti) King, daugh­ter Amanda Van Aswe­gan, grand­daugh­ter Mick­ayla and Niah King, grand­son Tris­ten Van Aswe­gan, sis­ter Lorena (Sam) Smith, sis­ter-in-law Gaye Prysi­azniuk, brother-in-law Larry (Velma) Ladubec. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents Jabez and Alice King. The fam­ily re­ceived rel­a­tives and friends at Slade’s Fu­neral Home, Pow­ell Drive, Car­bon­ear, on Sun­day, June 9, 2013. Spurrell of Har­bour Grace South, age 74 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Maxwell; par­ents: Robert and Ida Yet­man; broth­ers: Ed­ward Yet­man, Thomas Henry Yet­man and Win­ston Yet­man; par­ents-in-law: Fran­cis and Min­nie Spurrell; sis­ters-in-law and broth­ers-in-law: Mary Yet­man, Ada Yet­man, Mary (Hay­ward) Nose­wor­thy and Ch­es­ley Spurrell. Left to mourn, one son: Keith (Sharon), On­tario; one daugh­ter: Nancy, Nova Sco­tia; three broth­ers: Robert Yet­man and Grant (Lil­lian) Yet­man, both of Har­bour Grace South and Phillip ‘Cron’ (Betty) Yet­man, On­tario; sis­ters-in-law: Lenora Yet­man, New Brunswick, Carol (Sam) Rose, Salmon Cove and Beu­lah Spurrell, Har­bour Grace South; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives, neigh­bours and friends. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Eva (Smith) and Caleb Lewis; hus­band: Caleb Rob­bins (1979); com­mon-law-spouse: Joseph Power (2012); daugh­ter: Joan (1981); son-in-law: Charles Bursey (2005); son: Phillip (1952); broth­ers: Her­bert (Susie), Don­ald (Car­rie), Frank, Philip and Richard; sis­ter: Ella (Abram) Penny; broth­ers-in-law: Ed­ward Lewis and Wil­liam Wil­son; spe­cial aunt: Eve­lyn Clarke (2013).
