Sum­mer Read­ing Club

To be hosted by the Car­bon­ear Pub­lic Li­brary for youths ages in­fant to 13 start­ing in July and con­tin­u­ing through­out the sum­mer. Along with read­ing, chil­dren will en­joy var­i­ous arts and crafts and other spe­cial events. Regis­tra­tion is June 26, but if this date is missed the chil­dren can still at­tend. There will be three ses­sions a week start­ing July 2.

Fam­ily Re­source Cen­tre (Whit­bourne)

A wide va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties are planned for Step­ping Stones through­out the month of June. Morn­ing ses­sion run from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and af­ter­noon ses­sion runs from 1-3 p.m. Canada Day Cel­e­bra­tions will take place Tues­day, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The last day of reg­u­lar pro­gram­ming will be Thurs­day, June 20. Sum­mer Read­ing for Fun

A pro­gram spon­sored by the New­found­land and Labrador Laubach Lit­er­acy Coun­cil, of­fers FREE tu­tor­ing to stu­dents ages 4-18, regis­tra­tion for the seven-week pro­gram at the TC Square Car­bon­ear on June 29 and 30 from noon to 2p.m. The pro­gram will be held in a class­room at The Col­lege of the North At­lantic, Car­bon­ear.
