Ascension Collegiate student Erica Badcock was one of 11 representatives of Newfoundland and Labrador to medal at the Skills Canada National Competition in Vancouver, BC on June 5-8.

A Level III student at the Bay Roberts school, Badcock was awarded second place for her work in the job interview competition.

She was the only winner from the Trinity Conception region.

It was the second straight medal for Badcock, who captured the bronze medal in last year’s competition.

Badcock helped Ascension continue its dominance in the Skills Canada provincial competition by winning gold in the job interview category. She and her teammates led the school to its ninth team banner in 10 years.
