Around the bay

The Compass - - OPINION -

I always experience butterflies when I drive ‘Around The Bay’ Oh the disappointment if I have to make a stop out on the way The anticipation as I drive down Northern Bay Hill Driving past ‘Hogan’s Takeout’ where I’ll return for my fill. Even though there’s only the land now where our house once stood I can still picture it in my mind so it’s all good That piece of land is a favourite place of mine I like to just sit there admiring the view and unwind. A jaunt to the beach will be on my ‘to do’ list Then visits to my friends and family that I have surely missed I am a true ‘Bay Wop’ at heart I admit And yes I truly am some proud of it. — Submitted by Celeste Loughrey, formerly of
