Summer Reading Club
To be hosted by the Carbonear Public Library for youths ages infant to 13 starting in July and continuing throughout the summer. Along with reading, children will enjoy various arts and crafts and other special events. Registration was June 26, but if this date was missed the children can still attend. There will be three sessions a week starting July 2.

New Perlican Heritage Day
This sixth annual event takes place at the Veteran’s Memorial Community Centre on July 13, opening at 1 p.m. Official ceremonies and afternoon tea set for 2-5 p.m.
To be hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion, Carbonear on July 13 with local entertainment starting at 2 p.m., followed by barbecue at 5 p.m. You bring your own meat; fixings provided.
