Break’s Heat­ing on a roll

Picks up three straight wins in Car­bon­ear soft­ball

Butt’s Esso got back in the win col­umn dur­ing the sec­ond game of the Car­bon­ear Slo-pitch soft­ball league with a 9-4 vic­tory over East Coast Con­crete at the Car­bon­ear Recre­ation Com­plex on July 8.

Gord King lead the way for the vic­tors with four hits, while John Jac­ques picked up a trio of hits. Scott Cleary and Paul McCarthy chipped in two hits apiece.

For East Coast, Nick Ros­siter paced the of­fen­sive at­tack with three hits, while Chad Par­sons, Ryan Dean and Alf Bourne had two hits each.

Scott Cleary pitched the win and Ger­ard Grif­fin suf­fered the loss.

Ear­lier in the evening, Break’s Heat­ing de­feated Butt’s by a score of 5-4.

Mat Davies, Tim Brake, Gary His­cock and Dar­rell Par­sons had two hits each to lead Break’s. For Butt’s, Gord King had two hits in the loss. Sam White toed the rub­ber in vic­tory, while Scott Cleary took the loss.

In the first game on July 4, Break’s up­ended East Coast by a score of 7-4.

Lead the way for Break’s were Mat Davies and Tim Brake, who had two hits apiece.

Blair Par­sons lead the way for East Coast with three hits, while Mike White­way had two hits.

Sam White picked up the vic­tory, while Tom Har­ris and Ger­ard Grif­fin com­bined for the loss.

The late game saw Break’s scrape out a 8-7 vic­tory over Butt’s.
