Brake’s on a roll

The of­fense for Brake’s Heat­ing was in full force crush­ing Butt’s Esso 15-3 in Car­bon­ear Men’s Slo­p­itch League ac­tion at the Car­bon­ear Recre­ation Com­plex on July 15.

Spark­ing the as­sault for Brake’s were Mat Davis, Kevin Pen­ney, Tyson Crant and Jor­dan Barry with three hits apiece. Tim Brake, Steven Peach and Sam White had two hits each.

For Butt’s, Pual O’Leary, Ja­son Power, Ce­cil Tay­lor and Keith Ped­dle had two hits each.

Sam White threw the vic­tory, while Scott Cleary was sad­dled with the loss.

Ear­lier in the evening, Brake’s snuck by East Coast Con­crete by a score of 9-6.

Tim Brake had three hits for Break’s, while Kevin Pen­ney chipped in two hits.

For the losers, Dennis King had two hits, in­clud­ing a home­run to lead the way. Blair Par­sons, Charl Clarke, Wil­son Snow, Mat His­cock, Chad Par­sons and Alf Bourne had two hits apiece.

Sam White was the win­ning pitcher, while Tom Har­ris and Ger­ard Grif­fin com­bined for the loss.

On July 11, East Coast got the bet­ter of Butt’s by a score of 8-3.

For East Cost, Charl Clarke had three hits, while Blair Par­sons and Nick Ros­siter chipped in two hits each.

In a los­ing ef­fort, Jim King, Paul O’Leary, Paul McCarthy and John Jac­ques chipped in two hits apiece.

Ger­ard Grif­fin and Tom Har­ris com­bined for the win, while Scott Cleary toed the rub­ber in de­feat.

In the sec­ond game on July 11, Brake’s more than dou­bled East Coast by a score of 10-4.

Mat Davis, Tim Brake, Bar­rry Short, Kevin Pen­ney, Dar­rell Par­sons, Sam White, Paddy O’Keefe and Tyson Crant each had one hit in vic­tory.

Lead­ing the way for East Coast were Charl Clarke, Nick Ros­siter, Alf Bourne and Shan­non Chafe had two hits apiece.
