Car­bon­ear li­brary

The sum­mer read­ing club at the Car­bon­ear Pub­lic Li­brary in the Con­cep­tion Bay Re­gional Com­mu­nity Cen­tre will host a “Get out of this world” theme week July 30 to Au­gust 3. Chil­dren from birth to six-years-old at­tend Tues­day at 11:30 a.m. and Satur­day at 1:30 p.m. Chil­dren seven to 12 at­tend Thurs­day at 3 p.m.

Jam Ses­sion

The Royal Cana­dian Le­gion in Car­bon­ear will host a jam ses­sion Satur­day, Au­gust 3 at 3 p.m. For more call 596-3691.

Coun­try mu­sic night

The Whit­bourne Lions Club is host­ing the Old Time Coun­try Mu­sic Hoe­down on Au­gust 4th at the Lions Club in Whit­bourne. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. and starts at 2:00 p.m.

Cloth­ing do­na­tions

The Cana­dian Di­a­betes As­so­ci­a­tion’s Clothes­line pro­gram is look­ing for do­na­tions of reusuable cloth­ing and cloth items. Items can be dropped off at the red drop boxes at Pow­ell’s Supermarkets Car­bon­ear, Har­bour Grace and Bay Roberts. For more call 1-800505-5525.

Healthy Baby Club
