Compass summer calendar
The summer reading club at the Carbonear Public Library in the Conception Bay Regional Community Centre will host a “Get out of this world” theme week July 30 to August 3. Children from birth to six-years-old attend Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Children seven to 12 attend Thursday at 3 p.m.
The Royal Canadian Legion in Carbonear will host a jam session Saturday, August 3 at 3 p.m. For more call 596-3691.
Country music night
The Whitbourne Lions Club is hosting the Old Time Country Music Hoedown on August 4th at the Lions Club in Whitbourne. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. and starts at 2:00 p.m.

Ball hockey tournament

SS Kyle celebrations
September 14 will mark the 4th annual Swim the Kyle at 4 p.m. event followed by the 100th anniversary of the Kyle dinner at the Harbour Grace Fire Department Hall. For details call 596-3631.

Healthy Baby Club
These weekly group sessions for pregnant women hosted by the Trinity Conception Family Resource Centre, at locations in Carbonear (9 Newfoudland Drive), Harbour Grace (260 Harvey Street), and Bay Roberts (337 Conception Bay Highway).
