East Coast Con­crete goes 2-1 in soft­ball ac­tion

East Coast con­crete picked up its sec­ond win on July 22 when it de­feated Brake’s Heat­ing 8-2 in Car­bon­ear Slow Pitch Soft­ball League ac­tion at the Car­bon­ear Recre­ation Fa­cil­ity.

Blair Par­sons and Dennis King lead the way for East Coast with two hits each.

For Brake’s, Tm Brake had two hits in de­feat.

Ger­ard Grif­fin and Tom Har­ris toed the rub­ber for the com­bi­na­tion vic­tory, while Sam White took the loss.

Ear­lier in the evening, East Coast bested Butt’s Esso 11-7.

For the win­ners, Blair Par­sons had three hits, while Charl Clarke, Nick Ros­siter, Peter Chubs, Wil­son snow, Mat His­cock and Chad Par­sons had two hits apiece.

Chris White and Ja­son Power each had two hits for Butt’s.

Ger­ard Grif­fin and Tom Har­ris again com­bined for the pitch­ing win, and Scott Cleary took the loss.

On July 18, Brake’s snuck by Butt’s 6-4.

Mat Davis, Dar­rell Par­sons and Sam White had two hits apiece for Brake’s.

In de­feat, Ja­son Power and Gord King had two hits each.

Sam White picked up the pitch­ing win, while Scott Cleary took the loss.

In the first game on July 18, Butt’s picked up the win over East Coast 92.

Pow­er­ingthe of­fense for Butt’s was Ja­son Power with four hits, while Jim King had three hits. Paul O’Leary and Paul McCarthy had two hits apiece.

Alf Bourne lead the way for East Coast with three hits.

Scott Cleary toed the rub­ber in vic­tory, while Ger­ard Grif­fin and Tom Har­ris com­bined for the loss.
