30 -week diploma granting program.

In the fall of 2009, I enrolled in the Personal Care Attendant program at Keyin College, Carbonear campus. The program educated me with the skills to deliver appropriate, timely and respectful client-focused care to the elderly, people with disabilities, and those recovering from illness and injuries. Success began for me just two short months upon completion of the program in St. John’s with Eastern Health, at St. Luke’s Long Term Care Facility, where I worked as a PCA for nine months. In December 2010, I was transferred to Carbonear to work in both the acute and long term care facilities at the Harbour Lodge, Interfaith Citizens Home and Carbonear General Hospital. I truly enjoy the work that I do and would recommend the program to anyone. The program is very rewarding and enjoyable and it feels great to work with a team of health care professionals to help improve the lives of other people.
