CHILD AND YOUTH CARE WORKER - STARTED SEPTEMBER 2012
A Child and Youth Care Worker is a specialist in facilitating change in children or adolescents experiencing a range of social, emotional, behavioral or learning challenges. Keyin’s Child and Youth Care Worker program develops therapeutic skills and abilities in students, enabling them to work creatively with other profession- als concerned with the care and treatment of children and adolescents to address such challenges. Graduates are involved in all facets of care from assessment to intake, goal formulation, program planning and intervention. Child and Youth Workers facilitate change through counseling and a variety of treatment strategies.
88 week program includes one 4-week work term and one 8-week work term.
