ADULT BASIC EDUCATION
This program can be a stepping-stone for those interested in pursuing post-secondary education. The Adult Basic Education program, level ll & III offers assistance to adult students who would like to improve their reading, writing and math skills to help them obtain a grade 12 equivalency diploma. This will assist the student in many ways including boosting their selfconfidence and even finding a job easier. For the person who needs to start from the beginning, the Basic Literacy/ABE Level I component is the place to start. Level I will provide a student with a learning foundation, which will help them move toward the completion of ABE and into post-secondary training. The relaxed learning environment provided by Keyin College is the ideal atmosphere for adult students who have been out of school for 5, 10, or even 20 years and wish to re-enter the education system and acquire their high school diploma.
CONTINUING EDUCATION/EVENING PROGRAMS
The Continuing Education Division of Keyin College offers evening courses and customized training programs to the gen- eral public. We offer a wide range of courses for your personal and professional development. These course offerings are typically 30 hours in duration and run from 7 pm to 10 pm one weekday evening for 10 weeks. Keyin College can provide customized learning development to meet your needs and location is not a challenge. We can come to your site or we can offer training to fit your budget and time schedule. Keyin can provide needs assessments to match the skills you need with the skills you have and present a training plan tailored to your situation. Instructor led and internet based training available.
At Keyin College Carbonear Campus, OA students receive computer training from professional and knowledgeable IT instructors.
