Open try­outs

Po­sei­don Swim Club of Car­bon­ear will be host­ing open try­outs for the 2013-2014 swim sea­son at the Car­bon­ear Swim­ming Pool. Must have com­pleted Level 6 in swim­ming lessons. Agri­foods and Home­crafts Fair

The an­nual Trin­ity-Con­cep­tion Agri­foods and Home­crafts Fair wi l l take place at the S. W. Moores Me­mo­rial Sta­dium in Har­bour Grace Sept. 26-29. Trin­ity Con­cep­tion pageant

Com­mu­nity theatre

Avalon Com­mu­nity Theatre group is get­ting ready to launch its next pro­duc­tion, The Mum­ber­ley In­her­i­tance by War­ren Graves, to be staged at the Sheila NaGeira Theatre on Fri­day, Nov. 15. The group is in need of peo­ple both on stage and back­stage, for prepa­ra­tion and for the per­for­mance night.
