Softball send-off in Western Bay
It was a perfect day for softball on Sept. 14 at the Albert E. Walsh Memorial Softball Field in Western Bay. So much so that the North Shore Minor Softball Association held a year-end under-12 tournament featuring four teams. It was the hometown Wreckers with two teams, the Butlerville Bombers and the Brook Cove Bobcats (Heart’s Delight-Islington). After an exciting day of action, the team from Butlerville took the title with a 7-3 victory over North Shore A team. The Compass was there for all of the action.
