BARTER, Robert — Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Sun­day, Septem­ber 22, 2013. Robert Barter of Bay de Verde, age 86 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife Lu­cre­tia; brothers James (Sue), Don­ald (Joyce) and Maxwell (Nina) and sis­ter Doris Smith (Ce­cil). Left to mourn, two sons: Ken­neth (Gil­lian) and Charles (Michelle); three grand­chil­dren Kent, Kera and Chloe; brother Clif­ford Barter (Vi­ola) of Bay de Verde and sis­ter Eve­lyn Tuck (Clarence) of Clarke’s Beach. Rested at Hop­kins Fu­neral Home, Old Per­li­can and then at St. Barn­abas Angli­can Church, Bay de Verde. Rev. Michael Car­ruthers and Rev. By­ron Barter con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 25 at St. Barn­abas Angli­can Church. In­ter­ment took place in St. Barn­abas Angli­can Ceme­tery, Bay de Verde. JOHN­SON, Mor­gan E. — Passed peace­fully away at Chan­cel­lor Park, St. John’s on Mon­day, Septem­ber 23, 2013, Mor­gan E. John­son of Gull Is­land, age 79 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife Vera; par­ents John and Theresa; sis­ters Brid­get, An­nie, Win­nifred, Mary Agnes and Ellen; brothers Thomas, John and Bernard.
