A SMOKEY EXIT
— Tendrils of smoke surround Bay Roberts volunteer firefighters Kevin Greenland (front) and Robert Seymour as they leave the scene of a shed fire in Butlerville last week. The charred lumber in the background is what remains of the structure, which belonged to Jerome Seymour, after it was completely destroyed in the afternoon blaze. The fire started shortly after 3 p.m. on Oct. 3. Officials with the Bay Roberts Volunteer Fire Department said the fire “could have been much worse.” Greenland, Roberts and some 16 other fire personnel kept watch over the charred rubble for two hours after the fire had started. No one was hurt in the fire and Jerome’s home escaped with smoke and water damage.
