What’s on the go… in Trinity Conception
• Carbonear — any Legion member wishing to participate in the Remembrance Day Parade are asked to meet at the Carbonear Legion on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. to be bused to the College of the North for 10:15 a.m. There will be a light lunch and entertainment back at the Legion following the ceremony.
• Salmon Cove — there will be a service at Bethany United Church, Carbonear on Nov. 10 (11 a.m.) Members will go to the Carbonear Legion after church for a light lunch, then will be bused to Salmon Cove at 1:15 p.m. for the Remembrance Day ceremony.
• Carbonear —Legion will host a Remembrance Day banquet and dance on Nov. 16. Cocktails at 7 p.m. and roast beef dinner at 7:30 p.m. Dinners are sold in advance, with music by Harold Priddle. For more, call 596-3691.

The Carbonear legion will host a halloween dance Oct. 26 starting at 9:30 p.m. There will be a live band and prizes for the best costumes.
An evening of storytelling
An event called “Spooks, Spectres and Skeletons” will take place at the Cupids Legacy Centre on Saturday, Oct. 26 (7:30 p.m.). Spooking you with tales of ghosts, goblins and ghouls will be storytellers Wendell Dawe, Charis Cotter, Roy Dawe, Dennis Flynn and Peter Laracy. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Show up in a costume and you qualify to win a prize.

To be hosted in aid of Cat Concerns Inc., on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Lion’s Club in Bay Roberts. Doors open at 10 a.m. Cat Concerns is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, and is raising money for its Cat Shelter Building Fund.
Flea market/bake sale
The Seaside Seniors Club of Hant’s Harbour will host a bake and craft sale and a flea market at the club’s building at 10 a.m. Nov. 7. A mug-up will be served.

Stepping Stones Family Resource
The resource centre in Whitbourne will host a number of activities for the month of October. Morning session runs from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and afternoon session runs from 13 p.m. Activities include active play, birth walking, toddler time, learning time, healthy baby club, and family drop-in playtime.
