The Compass - - FRONT PAGE -

The deadline for submission of letters to Santa has now passed, and once again, the uptake from young readers was outstanding. Just under 300 charming letters and adorable photographs were submitted to The Compass by Friday’s deadline. We begin publishing those letters in today’s edition, and will continue to do so in our Dec. 3, 10 and 17 editions. For this edition, we shine a spotlight on young Rylan Penney of Perry’s Cove. For more letters, see Pages B6, B8 and B12.

Dear Santa,

My name is Rylan Penney. I am just over 1 year old. I live in Perry’s Cove. I love Thomas so can you please bring me some Thomas stuff, a Tonka truck, some new clothes and a couple surprises. My big sisters helped me open my gifts last year but I have grown a lot since then. Thanks for all my gifts last year. I will help my two big sisters to make a lunch for you and I will leave a bottle of milk out to go with it. Have a safe trip and please don’t forget anyone.

Your little friend,

Rylan Penney
