Goalies at the Gosse

The Compass - - CLASSIFIED -

The last line of defence for any hockey team is the goaltender. Often, keepers are asked to come up with game-saving stops when their teams need them the most. This was evident at the 2013 Wesley Gosse Memorial Hockey Tournament at the Bay Arena in Bay Roberts as both Liam Quilty (left), of Laval High in Pla- centia, and Connor Parsons, of Carbonear Collegiate, performed well. Quilty and Connors faced a barrage of shots as their teams competed against some of the toughest high school competition in the province. Laval finished the tournament with a record of 1-3, while Carbonear went winless.
