The participants in the 46th Cavendish-Whiteway Christmas Parade had an ideal day on Dec. 7. Aside from a cool breeze, the sun was shining and hundreds of residents came out to get in the spirit of the season. There was a variety of floats, including the Snow Queen, Disney’s Frozen, Duck Dynasty and, of course, Santa Claus. The Compass was there to take in all of the Christmas action.

It was a Duck Dynasty Christmas during the Cavendish-Whiteway Christmas parade. Junior Jackson (left) and Daniel Jackson were one of two participants to carry the theme of the popular televsion reality show.

Minnie and Mickey Mouse could not resist the temptation of walking in the Cavendish-Whiteway parade.

This Christmas gorilla was at the front of the pack.

Mike Crane and his son, one-year-old Parker, of Whiteway took in the parade on Dec. 7.

This year’s Snow Queen, Kelsey George, waves to some parade onlookers.
