Stepping Stones family resource centre
Whitbourne and Placentia: Monday to Thursday during the month of February, the Stepping Stones family resource centre will host morening sessions (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and afternoon sessions (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) for parents and children ages birth to six. Programs include active play, baby time and leap into learning. For scheduling information call Serena Pomeroy at 227-1010.
Bible study in Bay Roberts
A series of presentations called “Real questions, real answers” will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 200 Conception Bay Highway, Bay Roberts, every Tuesday (7 p.m. start), with the next Tuesday Feb. 25. Questions such as “Why does God allow suffering?” “What happens when I die?” “Is there hope for me?” Admission is free. All are welcome.
There will be jam sessions held Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Carbonear.
Annual general meeting
There will be an annual general meeting for the Royal Canadian Legion in Carbonear Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. Members are asked to dress in uniform or dress appropriately.
Seniors’ card game
A seniors’ card game will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Carbonear.
On March 1, the Royal Canadian Legion in Carbonear will host a crib tournament, in conjunction with the Carbonear Winter Carnival for age 19 years and older. For more, call 596-3691.

The Conception Bay Museum board of directors will host a dinner and a show called “The chronicles of Dr. Cron” at the Harbour Breeze Saturday, March 1. World day of prayer
The Coughlan United Church in Harbour Grace will host its annual world day of prayer service Friday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. Paddy’s day bash The Royal Canadian Legion in Carbonear will host a Paddy’s Day bash March 15 starting at 3 p.m. A dance will also be held at 9:30 p.m. For more call 596-3691.
World kidney day dinner
The Baccalieu Trail Atlantic Kidney Chapter invites all dialysis patients, kidney transplant patients and kidney donors in the local area to the second annual world kidney day dinner at the Harbour Breeze in Harbour Grace March 16 at 5:30 p.m. For more, call Robert or Bernice Lundrigan at 786-7913.

Festival of Flags
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 33 in Placentia is completing Phase 3 the Placential Bay military history project, and invites members of the public to visit the research findings at www.placentiabay.ca.
