Step­ping Stones fam­ily re­source cen­tre

Whit­bourne and Pla­cen­tia: Mon­day to Thurs­day dur­ing the month of Fe­bru­ary, the Step­ping Stones fam­ily re­source cen­tre will host moren­ing ses­sions (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and af­ter­noon ses­sions (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) for par­ents and chil­dren ages birth to six. Bi­ble study in Bay Roberts

A se­ries of pre­sen­ta­tions called “Real ques­tions, real an­swers” will be held at the Sev­enth-day Ad­ven­tist Church, 200 Con­cep­tion Bay High­way, Bay Roberts, ev­ery Tues­day (7 p.m. start), with the next Tues­day Feb. 25. Ques­tions such as “Why does God al­low suf­fer­ing?” “What hap­pens when I die?” “Is there hope for me?” Ad­mis­sion is free. All are wel­come.

Jam ses­sion

There will be jam ses­sions held Satur­day, March 1 at 3 p.m. at the Royal Cana­dian Legion Car­bon­ear.

An­nual gen­eral meet­ing

There will be an an­nual gen­eral meet­ing for the Royal Cana­dian Legion in Car­bon­ear Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. Mem­bers are asked to dress in uni­form or dress ap­pro­pri­ately.

Se­niors’ card game

A se­niors’ card game will be held at 8 p.m. Tues­day, Feb. 25 at the Royal Cana­dian Legion in Car­bon­ear.

Crib tour­na­ment

On March 1, the Royal Cana­dian Legion in Car­bon­ear will host a crib tour­na­ment, in con­junc­tion with the Car­bon­ear Win­ter Car­ni­val for age 19 years and older. For more, call 596-3691.
