(Oc­to­ber 10, 1930 – April 8, 2014) — Passed peace­fully away on Tues­day, April 8, 2014, Rev­erend Don­ald Everett Ni­colle, re­tired priest of The Angli­can Church of Canada and CBC Halifax & New­found­land. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents, Everett & Mary Ni­colle; sis­ter Mar­ion; broth­ers: Jack, Wil­liam, & Harold; and daugh­ter Jennifer Saucier. Left to mourn his wife of 60 years, Faith (nee Whal­ley); chil­dren: Cathy (Lloyd Best), Mary Faith “Nikki” (Har­vey Froude), John, Robert (Gary Pur­cell), Mar­ion, Chris (Cathy nee Snow), Mark “Moose”, & Natasha; son-in­law Gille Saucier; grand­chil­dren: Don­ald Saucier (Al­li­son), Arthur Froude (Heather), Ti­mothy Best, Eric Saucier (Chantel), Sarah Best (Bradley), Oliver Ni­colle, & Patrick Ni­colle; great-grand­chil­dren: Pas­cal Saucier & Damien Saucier; and also a large num­ber of nieces, neph­ews, & friends. The fam­ily would like to thank the staff of St. Clare’s 7 West and Hoyles Home North 1 for their out­stand­ing care and help dur­ing the past year. Rested at Bar­rett’s Fu­neral Home, 328 Hamil­ton Av­enue, St. John’s. The fu­neral ser­vice was held at The Church of The Good Shepherd, Richard Nolan Drive, Mount Pearl on Fri­day, April 11 with in­ter­ment at the Angli­can Ceme­tery, For­est Road. Leav­ing to mourn, par­ents: Ted and Korena; grand­par­ents: Al­bert King ( Joan Butt) and Robert (Doreen) Os­mond, both of Car­bon­ear; aunts: Cher­ree King, Car­bon­ear, Pamela (Shawn) Vick­ery, Mis­sis­sauga, ON, Jody (Lloyd) Cole, Vic­to­ria and Pa­tri­cia (Leo) Rear­don, Bell Is­land; un­cle: Duane Os­mond, St. John’s; cousins: Amanda, Lori, Vanessa, Leo, Amy, Brian and Jeremy; also a num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends.
