CBNSC per­forms well at Skate At­lantica

Con­cep­tion Bay North Skat­ing Club com­peti­tors again proved they are among the best in the At­lantic prov­inces at the 2014 World’s Finest Chocolates Skate At­lantica at the East Hants Sports Com­plex in Nova Sco­tia March 29-30.

The club, based out of sta­di­ums in Bay Roberts and Har­bour Grace, sent eight skates the high­pro­file com­pe­ti­tion bring­ing home four medals – one gold and three sil­ver.

The dance team of Andrew Lit­tle­john and Bri­anna Rus­sell con­tin­ued their strong sea­son with a first place fin­ish in the pre-ju­ve­nile dance com­pe­ti­tion.

The pair have recorded nu­mer­ous first place fin­ishes this sea­son in­clud­ing a gold medal at the 2014 NL Win­ter Games, as well as the East­ern Di­vi­sion­als ear­lier this year.

In the STAR5 Girls (un­der-13) com­pe­ti­tion, Ha­ley Dawe recorded a sec­ond place fin­ish, while Ethan Parsons also recorded a sil­ver in the preju­ve­nile men di­vi­sion.

The fol­low­ing is a list of re­sults for the other CBNSC skaters:

• Ju­lia Keefe – sil­ver, pre-ju­ve­nile dance;

• Ethan Parsons – sil­ver, pre-ju­ve­nile dance;

• Andrew Lit­tle­john – fifth, pre-ju­ve­nile men;

• Toni-Lynn Parsons – 13th, ju­ve­nile women (un­der-14);

• Laura Keefe – 15th, STAR5 girls (un­der-13); • Katie Daw­son – 10th, se­nior bronze women.
