CBNSC performs well at Skate Atlantica
Conception Bay North Skating Club competitors again proved they are among the best in the Atlantic provinces at the 2014 World’s Finest Chocolates Skate Atlantica at the East Hants Sports Complex in Nova Scotia March 29-30.
The club, based out of stadiums in Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace, sent eight skates the highprofile competition bringing home four medals – one gold and three silver.
The dance team of Andrew Littlejohn and Brianna Russell continued their strong season with a first place finish in the pre-juvenile dance competition.
The pair have recorded numerous first place finishes this season including a gold medal at the 2014 NL Winter Games, as well as the Eastern Divisionals earlier this year.
In the STAR5 Girls (under-13) competition, Haley Dawe recorded a second place finish, while Ethan Parsons also recorded a silver in the prejuvenile men division.
The following is a list of results for the other CBNSC skaters:
• Julia Keefe – silver, pre-juvenile dance;
• Ethan Parsons – silver, pre-juvenile dance;
• Andrew Littlejohn – fifth, pre-juvenile men;
• Toni-Lynn Parsons – 13th, juvenile women (under-14);
• Laura Keefe – 15th, STAR5 girls (under-13); • Katie Dawson – 10th, senior bronze women.
