Eastern Health honours retirees
Eatern Health put off an impressive ceremony at the Harbour Breeze in Harbour Grace on April 11 in honour of careers and milestones. There were certificates given for 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service, as well as certificates given to employees who retired in 2013.
At a lavish ceremony at the Harbour Breeze in Harbour Grace on April 11, Eastern Health honoured the careers and milestones of some of its employees.
It was a part of the organization’s annual service and retirement award ceremony for the Trinity-Conception region.
Recognition was given to those who have accumulated 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service with the health authority, as well as all of those who retired in 2013.
At the ceremony, 45 former employees were set to be honoured for their retirement, while 64 were to received service awards. Of those, 25 retirees were honoured along with 35 employees who received service awards.
The invitees were treated to a buffet luncheon prior to the ceremony.
While treating themselves to either delectable desserts or tantalizing wraps, those in attendance chatted amicably, sharing jokes and stories.
Attendees smiled proudly as they accepted their awards, and energetically applauded to support their colleagues.
Retirees accepted a large print depicting a scene from a St. John’s street.
