Albertine Bethel, a St. John’s resident, is missing her Buffet clarinet.

The woodwind instrument was taken from St. James Anglican Hall in Carbonear during a two-day event — April 26-27 — organized by The Church Lads Brigade regimental band.

Trinity-Conception RCMP is looking for the public’s assistance in locating the instrument, which Sgt. Greg Hicks described as “all wood with worn silver keys with a laptoplike case.”

Sgt. Hick said, “The clarinet has a lot of sentimental.” The investigation is still ongoing. If anyone has any information regarding this theft, please contact the Trinity-Conception RCMP at 5965014 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-2228477.
