SUT­TON- Ann E. - Passed peace­fully away in the pres­ence of her lov­ing fam­ily at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal on Tues­day, May 6, 2014 Ann E. Sut­ton of Har­bour Grace. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Frank and Hazel; daugh­ters-in-law: Louise and Goldie; grand­son: Bradley; sis­ters: Jessie and El­iz­a­beth ‘Liz’; broth­ers: Jack, Harry, Frank, Mau­rice and Al­bert. Left to mourn: five daugh­ters: Ann-Marie (Ge­orge) Lynch, Athabasca, AB, Mary (Ai­den) Mesh, Til­ton, Vi­o­let (Dave) Reynolds, Car­bon­ear, Mil­dred (Frank) Dove, Har­bour Grace and Jacqueline (Cur­tis) Cooper, Nova Sco­tia; seven sons: Mau­rice (Louise, de­ceased) and John, both of Har­bour Grace, Sa­muel Jr. (Eileen) and Den­nis (An­nette), both of Til­ton, Paul (Dar­lene), Monc­ton, NB, Kenneth, St. John’s and Ter­rance ( fi­ancée Kathy), Spa­niard’s Bay; twenty-three grand­chil­dren; twenty-eight great-grand­chil­dren; two broth­ers: Den (Made­line) and Bill ( Jenny, de­ceased), Saskatchewan; three sis­ters: Stella Nose­wor­thy (Ed Swain), Mar­garet Pye and Mil­dred (Bill, de­ceased) Doo­ley, all of Car­bon­ear; also a num­ber of other rel­a­tives in Cal­i­for­nia, Ari­zona, Aus­tralia and a large cir­cle of rel­a­tives and friends in New­found­land; Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Har­bour Grace. Fr. Wil­liam Pearce con­ducted the Fu­neral on Satur­day, May 10 from St. Joseph’s Ro­man Catholic Church, River­head, Har­bour Grace. In­ter­ment took place in St. Patrick’s Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear. In lieu of flow­ers as an ex­pres­sion of sym­pa­thy, Do­na­tions in her mem­ory may be made to the Ann E. MIL­DRED (BUTT) FLIGHT 1916 - 2014 Mil­dred passed away peace­fully, April 16, 2014, in her 98th year at the East­pointe Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion and Nurs­ing Care Cen­ter in Chelsea MA. She was born in Black­head, Con­cep­tion Bay, New­found­land and went to Chelsea, MA over 50 years ago. She was pre­de­ceased by her lov­ing hus­band Wal­ter and in­fant daugh­ter, Linda Mae, her par­ents, Harry and El­iz­a­beth Ann (This­tle) Butt, Sis­ter Mary (Arthur) Rum­son, Broth­ers Jack (Dor­cas) Butt, and Her­bert Butt, sis­ter in law Char­ity Hilda Butt and niece Jean Butt, neph­ews in law, Ern Kelly and Paul Fitzger­ald. She leaves to mourn one brother, Rev. G. Boyd Butt, re­tired min­is­ter, She­diac, NB, Canada. Nieces ; Luann ( Terry ) McMana­man FL, Sharon ( Fraser ) Cameron PEI, Jac­que­lyn (David ) Legere NB, Diane Kelly, NL, Linda ( Eric ) Mil­ley NL, Beverly Fitzger­ald of NH, Carol Ann (Will) Slade, NL. Neph­ews; Arthur B. (San­dra) Rum­son Sau­gus, Her­bert (Brenda) Butt, NL and Glenn Butt, NL. Mil­dred is also lov­ingly sur­vived by two spe­cial “grand­daugh­ters” Dianne and Kim­ber­ley of York Beach, ME. Sis­ter in law, Lil­lian M. Butt of Broad Cove, NL. A dear friend Mil­dred Baggs of Chelsea, Mass and nu­mer­ous other great nieces and neph­ews, rel­a­tives and friends. A grave­side ser­vice will be held in Wood­lawn Ceme­tery, Everett, MA, Fri­day May16.

HUNT, Emma Almeda (Meda) nee Drover - Passed peace­fully away in the pres­ence of her lov­ing fam­ily at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Mon­day, May 5, 2014, Meda Hunt of Har­bour Grace, age 95 years. Pre­de­ceased by her lov­ing hus­band of 53 years, Wil­liam H. Hunt of Har­bour Grace on Jan­uary 24, 1998; par­ents: Al­bert and Emma Drover; sis­ters: Gla­dys Lun­dri­gan, Janet Nose­wor­thy and Bertha Adams; brother: Joseph Drover. Left to mourn, two daugh­ters: Enid (Frank) Tay­lor, St. John’s and Brenda (Paul) Steven­son, Har­bour Grace; son: Charles (Mae) Hunt, Har­bour Grace; six grand­chil­dren: Philip But­ler (Les­lie), Par­adise, Steven But­ler, Mount Pearl, Matthew Steven­son (Sharon), St. John’s, Emily Steven­son (Brian Tucker), Gan­der, Heather (Clif­ford Smith), Bay Roberts and David Hunt (Karen), Por­tu­gal Cove; six great­grand­chil­dren: Joshua, Isaac, Claire, Sally, Patrick and Jame­son and a large cir­cle of nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Har­vey Street, Har­bour Grace. Rev. Moses Tucker con­ducted the Fu­neral ser­vice on Wed­nes­day, May 7 from St. Paul’s Angli­can Church, Har­bour Grace. In­ter­ment took place in St. Paul’s Angli­can Ceme­tery, Har­bour Grace. Do­na­tions in Meda’s mem­ory may be made to St. Paul’s Mu­sic Café Roof Restora­tion Fund.
