The rejuvenated CBN Men’s Basketball League concluded its second season with a repeat championship run.

McNally’s captured its second straight league title with a 2-0 series sweep over Clarke’s Furniture in the final series.

It was as rematch of the final series last season, and pitted the top-two finishers in the league during the regular season.

The champions clinched the series with a resounding 108-64 defeat of Clarke’s at St. Francis in Harbour Grace on April 27.

While the game was close at the conclusion of the first quarter, McNally’s pulled away over the final three periods.

It was a balanced attack pacing the offense for the victors. Guard Shane Lambert lead the way with 26 points, while Trevor Smith added 24 points in the win.

In Game 1, McNally’s used a third quarter run to pull away from their opponents and finished with a 105-74 victory.
