REID, El­liott — Passed peace­fully away at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Fri­day, May 9, 2014, El­liott Reid of Western Bay, age 73 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Al­bert and Ce­cilia, broth­ers: Joshua and Leo, sis­ters: Alv­ina ( James), Phoebe (Kenneth) and An­nie ( James), par­ents-in-law: Al­lan and Vi­ola Baggs, brother-in-law: Michael and sis­ter-in­law: Doris. Left to mourn, wife: Carol Ann; two daugh­ters: Karen (Wil­liam) Duke, St. John’s and Stephanie (Carl) Hatch, Western Bay; one son: Scott (Kelly), Vic­to­ria; four grand­chil­dren: Dustin, Lan­den, Karla (Chris) and Kelsey (Michael); great-grand­son: Hay­den; step-daugh­ter: Judy Sheen, Wood­stock, NB and her son, Jordan Hut­ton; four broth­ers: Al­bert (Marie), Ste­wart (Doreen) and Clarence (Rox­anne Piercey), all of Heart’s De­light and Wen­dell (Ethel), Western Bay; five sis­ters: Vi­o­let (Gor­don) Hal­ley and Hilda (Ray) Tucker, both of St. John’s, Jer­lina Red­mond, Tor­bay, Jane (Harold) Childs, Heart’s De­light and Au­drey (Lind­say) Kel­loway, White­way; brother-in-law: Don­ald His­cock, St. John’s; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Main High­way, Western Bay. Rev. Glenn Jarvis con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Sun­day, May 11 at McDow­ell United Church, Western Bay. In­ter­ment took place in the United Church Ceme­tery, Western Bay North. Do­na­tions in his mem­ory may be made to the North Shore Cen­tral Am­bu­lance Fund.
