They still carry Irving products such as oil and gasoline. Along with this, the group supports local products. “We support local and we’re local,” said Nicole. Bartlett’s is one of the only stations in the region who have a full service option, and the only location that offers propane pumping.
Other stations offer the tank exchange, but nothing like what Bartlett’s can.
The operation has grown over the years, starting with a two-bay service station operated by John Bartlett and one mechanic and the convenience store operated by Maureen and one store clerk. It has since expanded to 10 service bays and close to 30 employees.
The service also has a reputation of being a huge supporter of local organizations.
Staff and customers
A key to the success of Bartlett’s, and something that has been present for all 30 years, is its dedication to staff — current and past — for their loyal and dedicated service, as well as the customers who keep coming back.
“We’re so thankful for their support over the past 30 years,” said Nicole.
The convenience store offers a variety of products from movie rentals, cold beer, ice, lunch counter with a variety of sandwiches, coffee, cappuccino, hot dogs, and soft serve ice cream in eight flavours.
Bartlett’s Auto Service opens 8 a.m. ‘til 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Bartlett’s Convenience Store is open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to midnight; 6 a.m. to midnight Sundays.
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE: The convenience store at Bartlett’s offers a variety of products from hot and cold beverages, lunch counter with a selection of sandwiches, fishing & camping supplies, soft serve (8 flavors), ice, cold beer, etc. to their newest item – a hot dog roller grill.
