Butt’s Esso, Brake’s Heat­ing pick up wins

The bats were alive for Brake’s Heat­ing in the sec­ond game of Car­bon­ear Men’s Slo-Pitch League ac­tion at the Car­bon­ear Recre­ation Com­plex on July 21.

Brake’s dec­i­mated op­po­nent East Coast Con­crete by a score of 13-2.

Tim Brake and Nick Rossiter led the way for the vic­tors with three hits apiece. Roy Flight, Dar­rell Par­sons, Kevin Pen­ney and Jeff King chipped in with two hits each.

Mean­while, Blair Par­sons, Tom Har­ris, Mat Davis and Ryan Dean had one hit apiece for East Coast.

Sam White toed the rub­ber for the win, while Jeff Par­sons suf­fered the loss.

In the first game, Butt’s Esso nar­rowly de­feated East Coast 6-5.

For Butt’s, Steven King had three hits, while Paul O’Leary and Chris Par­sons each sup­plied a pair of hits.

Chad Par­sons, Karl Oats and Mat Davis paced the of­fense for East Coast with three hits each.

Steven King picked up the win, while Jeff Par­sons was sad­dled with the loss. Thurs­day, July 17 Butt’s Esso 9, East Coast Con­crete 4 There was only one game on July 17 due to poor weather. Stacey Mo­ri­ar­ity paced the at­tack for Butt’s Esso. He col­lected three hits, while Gord King helped out with two hits.

For East Coast, Keith Ped­dle led the way with two hits.

Scott Cleary took the win on the hill, while Tom Har­ris took the loss.
