Bay Roberts kicks off Klondyke Days

The Compass - - OPINION - PHOTOS AND TEXT BY NICHOLASMERCER/THE COMPASS

The Town of Bay Roberts had some perfect weather for the annual running of the Klondyke Days Parade on July 23. The sun shone brightly as the large parade made its way from the council building on Water Street to the Royal Canadian Legion where hot dogs and drink awaited them. The parade had a little bit of everything, including zumba, mascots, music, fire trucks and even a scene from Disney’s Frozen. Hundreds of the town’s residents lined the street for their chance to see the parade and wave at the participants. The Compass took in the parade and captured these images.

Reigning Junior Miss Teen Trinity Conception Aileen Pike had a stylish ride for the parade. Driving for her is Bay Roberts’ chief administrative officer Nigel Black.
