BAKER, Al­lan - July 19, 1925 - July 21, 2014 In the early morn­ing of July 21st, Al passed away peace­fully at Bas­tion Place in Sal­mon arm B.C.to unite with the love of his life Martha. For many years Al and Martha ran Baker Build­ing Movers Ltd. from Golden through­out the Okana­gan area. A won­der­ful gen­tle man with a huge heart that touched the lives of all he knew. He will be missed by his step chil­dren, Dorothy McKenna of Si­ca­mous B.C, Pa­tri­cia Dyck of Prince Ge­orge B.C, Wil­liam Dyck of Oshawa On­tario, and Jerry Dyck of Cal­gary Al­berta, his nine grand­chil­dren and nine great grand­chil­dren. The fam­ily would like to thank the won­der­ful staff at Bas­tion Place, words can­not ex­press your kind­ness and com­pas­sion you showed to­wards Al. Also warm­est thanks to Dr. Beech for your thought­ful care and sup­port. BUTT, Gra­ham - Passed peace­fully away sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Mon­day, Au­gust 4, 2014, Gra­ham Butt of Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear, age 93 years. Pre­de­ceased by daugh­ter, Lil­lian on July 31, 2014; broth­ers, Clay­ton, Gor­don and Josiah; sis­ters, Mil­dred and Mary Ann. Left to mourn, wife: Phyl­lis; three daugh­ters: Glenda (Gerry) Trepanier, Mount Pearl, Donna (Glenn) Bal­som, Clarenville and Deb­bie (Chris) Swyers, Logy Bay; one son: Paul (Mar­i­lyn), Clarenville; sonin-law: Don­ald Noel, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear; eleven grand­chil­dren: Aaron, Edward (Tracy), Tara (Trent), Christo­pher (Krista), Stephanie (Steve), Ryan, Becky, Mandy (Steve), Michael ( Janet), Jennifer (Mark) and Erica; nine great-grand­chil­dren: Gage, Xan­der, Samiah, Amara, Pre­ston, Bran­don, Dy­lan, Gra­ham and Tyler; one step-great-grand­daugh­ter: Sa­man­tha; sis­ters-in-law: So­phie Snow, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear and Dul­cie Snow, Vic­to­ria; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Car­bon­ear. Rev. Linda Pike con­ducted the Funeral ser­vice on Thurs­day, Au­gust 7 from the United Church, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment took place in the United Cemetery, Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear. LESHANE, Jean - Passed peace­fully away in the pres­ence of her lov­ing fam­ily at the Health Sciences Cen­tre, St. John’s on Satur­day, Au­gust 2, 2014, Jean LeShane of Lower Is­land Cove, age 77 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Beu­lah (nee Inkpen) and Jack ( John) Sparkes. Left to mourn her lov­ing hus­band of 51 years, Lloyd; son: Robert (Mar­lene), Lower Is­land Cove; daugh­ter: Carol Ann (Dennis Walsh), Oshawa, On­tario; grand­chil­dren: Mark, Vanessa, Zachary and Stephanie; brother: Don­ald (Pa­tri­cia) Sparkes, Lower Is­land Cove; sis­ters: Belle (Calvin) Butt, Bay Roberts and Louise (Eric) Snel­grove, Truro, Nova Sco­tia; brother-in-law: Frank (Marg) LeShane, Lower Is­land Cove; sis­ters-in-law: Ethel (Fred, de­ceased) LeShane and Florence (Phillip, de­ceased) LeShane, both of Lower Is­land Cove; also a num­ber of nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives and friends.
