(Voss) - Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Satur­day, Au­gust 9, 2014, Traute ‘Mary’ (Voss) Cur­ran of Car­bon­ear, age 78 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Al­fred and Frieda Voss, brother: Kuno, sis­ter: Bev­er­ley; brother-in-law: Mau­rice and sis­ter-in-law: Ju­lia ( Joseph) O’Grady. Left to mourn, hus­band: Bill; three daugh­ters: Mon­ica (Peter) Con­nors, Ge­orge­town, ON, An­gela (Bryan) Ma­juery, Car­bon­ear and Bev­er­ley Cur­ran, Kelowna, BC; three sons: Tony (Carol), Mike (Louise) and Brian, all of Brampton, ON; nine grand­chil­dren, twelve great-grand­chil­dren; one sis­ter: Monika (Keith) Mor­ri­son, Car­bon­ear; four broth­ers-in-law: Phillip (Elvie) Cur­ran, Do­minic (Brenda) Cur­ran, David (Cathy Ann) Cur­ran and Joseph Cur­ran, all of Car­bon­ear; five sisters-in­law: Anas­ta­sia (Ed­ward, de­ceased) Furey, El­iz­a­beth (Ge­orge, de­ceased) Cherry and Lucy Cur­ran, all of Car­bon­ear, Agnes (Wayne) Bishop and Cather­ine ( Jim) Mercer, both of Up­per Is­land Cove; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Wa­ter Street, Car­bon­ear. Fr. Michael Barker con­ducted the Fu­neral Mass on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 13 from St. Pa­trick’s Ro­man Catholic Church, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment took place in St. Pa­trick’s Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear. Do­na­tions in her mem­ory may be made to the Alzheimer So­ci­ety of NL. OLIVER, James ‘Jimmy’ - Passed peace­fully away at the Health Sciences Cen­tre, St. John’s on Satur­day, Au­gust 16, 2014, James ‘Jimmy’ Oliver of Gull Is­land, age 60 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: James and Genevieve; sis­ter: El­iz­a­beth. Left to mourn, wife: Madonna; one daugh­ter: Denise Oliver (Asif Sheikh), Ottawa, ON; one son: Trevor ( Ja­nine), Gull Is­land; three grand­chil­dren: Bray­den, Daniyal and Dono­van; four broth­ers: Wil­liam (Mary, de­ceased), Stephenville, John ( Jan­ice), Coburg, ON, Lawrence ( Jenny), Western Bay and Mau­rice (Deb­bie), Gull Is­land; one sis­ter: Mary ( James) Tra­verse, Gull Is­land and also mem­bers of the Cox fam­ily and other rel­a­tives and friends.
