Santa is everywhere

The Compass - - FRONT PAGE -

Santa Claus has been all over the Trinity-Conception region for the last little bit in the lead up to Christmas Day. The Compass has covered a lot of Santa Claus parades and snapped loads of photos to share with reads. In this week’s paper, you’ll find photos from parades in Brigus, Bryant’s Cove, Carbonear, Heart’s Content, Spaniard’s Bay and Victoria.

The sudden on-set of rain could not dampen the spirits of those watching and participating in the annual Spaniard’s Bay Santa Claus parade on Dec. 13. Just as the parade was getting underway, the skies opened up and water poured from the heavens. However, residents still got out to enjoy the parade as dozens lined the route, which started on the beach and ended at the Royal Canadian Legion. Through it all, everyone had an enjoyable time celebrating the onset of the holiday season. The Compass was there and captured these images.
