HUR­LEY, John Joseph - Passed peace­fully away in the pres­ence of his loving fam­ily at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 17, 2014, John Joseph Hur­ley of Kingston, age 83 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: El­iz­a­beth ‘Betty’; par­ents: Frank and Sarah; sis­ters: Mar­garet (Wil­liam) Mer­ri­gan and Mary Hur­ley. Left to mourn, one daugh­ter: Mary ( JR) Fa­gan, Car­bon­ear; one son: Philip (Susan), Car­bon­ear; three grand­chil­dren: Sarah, Emma and Noah; three brothers: Ed­mund and Frankie, both of Kingston and Mike (Alverna), Buchans; four sis­ters: Cecily, Loretta and Alice, all of Kingston and Julie (Pat) Doyle, Gull Is­land; brothers-in­law: Dan (Patsy) Delaney and Joe (Bev) Delaney, both of Gull Is­land, Fran­cis (Maisie) Delaney and Phil Delaney, both of Car­bon­ear and Cyril Delaney, On­tario; sis­ter-in-law: Chris­tine (Har­vey) But­ton, Old Per­li­can and lit­tle buddy: Skip; also a num­ber of nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Car­bon­ear. Fr. Michael Barker con­ducted the Fu­neral Mass on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 20 from St. Joseph’s Ro­man Catholic Church, Kingston. In­ter­ment took place in St. Joseph’s Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, Kingston.
