BURGESS, Wal­lace - Passed away peace­fully on Jan­uary 26, 2015, at Parkview Nurs­ing Cen­ter, Hamil­ton , On. at the age of 76. Beloved hus­band of Diane for 47 years, lov­ing fa­ther of sons Wal­lace and Keith, daugh­ters Char­lene and Kristy (Corey). Cher­ished grand­fa­ther of Sean, Ash­ley, Hannah, Emma and Sophia. Wal­lace will be sadly missed by broth­ers Clarence and Lloyd and sis­ters He­len, Pauline, and Donna, as well as many ex­tended fam­ily mem­bers and his best friend Bruce White. Wally was a long time re­tiree of King Paving with 33 years of ser­vice. A pri­vate fu­neral ser­vice was held at Hugh­son Bap­tist Church on Wed­nes­day Jan 28, 2015

HAL­L­I­DAY, Mon­ford M. - Passed peace­fully away at the In­ter­faith Cit­i­zen’s Home, Car­bon­ear on Satur­day, Jan­uary 24, 2015, Mon­ford M. Hal­l­i­day of Job’s Cove, age 77 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Wil­liam John and Bessie; brother: Robert and grand­son: Gre­gory. Left to mourn, wife: Anne; three daugh­ters: Sherry (David) Jenk­ins, West­ern Bay, Sharon ( Jim) Ban­ning, Ok­la­homa, USA and Rhonda (Dar­ryl) Lock­yer, Old Per­li­can; five grand­chil­dren: Mark (Crys­tal), Adam (Amy), Jen­nifer, Kayla (Brodie) and Shane; three great-grand­chil­dren: Noah, Alexander and Mer­riam; one brother: Roy (Carol) Hal­l­i­day, Job’s Cove; sis­ters-in-law: Clara Healey, St. John’s, Min­nie Squires and Irene Squires, both of Old Per­li­can; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Main High­way, West­ern Bay. Lieu­tenants Chris and To­nia Street and Dr. Rev. Jesse Bown con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Tues­day, Jan­uary 27 from Noel’s Me­mo­rial Chapel, West­ern Bay. In­ter­ment took place in the Sal­va­tion Army Ceme­tery, Job’s Cove. Lov­ing fa­ther of Stan (Nancy) and Dar­ryl ( Julie). Cher­ished grand­fa­ther of Mikayla, Tameka, Shane and Bai­ley. He will be sadly missed by his aunts, un­cles, nieces, neph­ews and cousins.
