On Friday, Feb. 20, 14 girls from age eight to 12 dressed in their best formal attire, strapped on some fancy shoes and did their hair in their attempt to become the next Miss Snowflake at Victoria’s Snowflake Pageant. The room at the Victoria Community Centre was filled with proud parents and friends, and the girls blew kisses to their loved ones from the catwalk. First runner-up was Leah Mercer, 10, and second runner-up was Summer Parsons, also 10. Outgoing queen was Katie Burke.
