Win­ter Car­ni­val gets go­ing in Pla­cen­tia

The Town of Pla­cen­tia kicked off its win­ter car­ni­val last week with a rous­ing open­ing cer­e­monies, cake cut­ting and a main event high school hockey game be­tween ri­vals the home­town Laval High Cava­liers and the vis­it­ing Cres­cent Col­le­giate Coy­otes of Blake­town. At the Unity Parc Arena in Pla­cen­tia, of­fi­cials made sure there was plenty of the­atrics, which in­cluded a smoke ma­chine and some fancy lights that in­spired plenty of ex­cite­ment. The Compass was there and grabbed th­ese pho­tos.
