Winter Carnival gets going in Placentia
The Town of Placentia kicked off its winter carnival last week with a rousing opening ceremonies, cake cutting and a main event high school hockey game between rivals the hometown Laval High Cavaliers and the visiting Crescent Collegiate Coyotes of Blaketown. At the Unity Parc Arena in Placentia, officials made sure there was plenty of theatrics, which included a smoke machine and some fancy lights that inspired plenty of excitement. The Compass was there and grabbed these photos.
