(Novem­ber 21, 1928-Fe­bru­ary 25, 2015) - Passed peace­fully away at the Cari­bou Me­mo­rial Vet­er­ans Pav­il­ion, St. John’s on Wed­nes­day, Fe­bru­ary 25, 2015, John ‘Jack’ Cal­la­han of River­head, Har­bour Grace, age 86 years. He was a mem­ber of the Royal Canadian Reg­i­ment and a proud vet­eran of the Korean War. Pre­de­ceased by his par­ents: John and Mary Cal­la­han; two in­fant sib­lings: Nel­lie and Mike; five broth­ers: Leo, Pat, Bill, Frank and Ned; three sis­ters: Marie Byrne, An­gela Roberts and Veron­ica Cal­la­han. Left to mourn, two sis­ters: Kath­leen Coombs and Gertrude Con­nolly, both of Har­bour Grace; also a large cir­cle of nieces, neph­ews, ex­tended fam­ily and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Har­vey Street, Har­bour Grace. Fr. Jose Joaquin con­ducted the Fu­neral Mass on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 28 at St. Joseph’s Ro­man Catholic Church, River­head, Har­bour Grace.
