Three nights of Grand Con­certs last week in Car­bon­ear in­volved the Ki­wa­nis fes­ti­val’s top per­form­ers, many of whom also re­ceived awards. You’ll find plenty of pho­tos from those events in­side, plus a full list­ing of awards.

There were plenty of high­lights over the course of three nights of Grand Con­certs to close out the 2015 edi­tion of the Ki­wa­nis Club of Car­bon­ear’s an­nual Re­gional Mu­sic Fes­ti­val. Large choirs filled the Con­cep­tion Bay Re­gional Com­mu­nity Cen­tre with sound, con­cert bands bleated out notes, and soloists shared melodies of all sorts. Bry­ony Faye Fowler gave it her all dur­ing a per­for­mance last Wed­nes­day at the sec­ond Grand Con­cert of the 2015 Ki­wa­nis Club of Car­bon­ear Re­gional Mu­sic Fes­ti­val.

Christo­pher Qiu con­cen­trates on his vi­o­lin play­ing dur­ing the fi­nal Grand Con­cert. Qiu was a run­ner-up in the Se­nior Rose Bowl com­pe­ti­tion.

The Co­ley’s Point Pri­mary choir opened the fi­nal Ki­wa­nis grand con­cert last Thurs­day with ‘O Canada.’
