Smooth strokes

The Compass - - NEWS -

It was a great weekend for the Trinity Conception Gentle Giants Special Olympic team. Thirty-seven swimmers from Trinity Conception, Conception Bay South and St. John’s competed at the Carbonear Swimming Pool, taking part in various distance swims, including 25, 50 and 100 metres. Freestyle and backstroke were quite popular, but some tried some more difficult events, like the individual medley, where they also swam butterfly and breaststroke. Teammates Robert Moore (centre lane) and Luke Mullins (right) competed against a swimmer from another team during this heat of the 25-m backstroke. It was a close race.
