“At­lantic Nights” is a new on­line se­rial novel by Rus­sell Wanger­sky, TC Me­dia’s At­lantic colum­nist and an award-win­ning au­thor. It fol­lows a fam­ily who is cop­ing with Alzheimer’s and the sto­ries they tell to ease the suf­fer­ing. The con­cept is sim­i­lar to “One Thou­sand and One Nights.” The first chap­ter will be posted on The Tele­gram web­site June 15. A new one will be up­loaded each day, from Mon­day to Satur­day, un­til the end of Au­gust. Wanger­sky’s works in­clude 2015’s “Walt,” 2012’s “Whirl Away,” 2011’s “The Glass Har­mon­ica” and 2008’s “Burning Down the House.” “Whirl Away” won the Rad­dall Prize for best At­lantic Canadian fic­tion and was a fi­nal­ist for the Sco­tia­bank Giller prize, among other ac­co­lades. Wanger­sky has also won nu­mer­ous news­pa­per awards and was a fi­nal­ist in the col­umns cat­e­gory at this year’s Na­tional News­pa­per Awards.
