COLE, Ge­orge - Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Wed­nes­day, July 8, 2015, Ge­orge Cole of Car­bon­ear, age 78 years. Pre­de­ceased by daugh­ter: Jackie; in­fant son: John; par­ents: Eva and Harry; brother-in-law: Jim Kest­ner. Left to mourn, wife: Bessie; one son: Jeffrey (Sonya) Cole, Labrador City; one grand­daugh­ter: Tay­lor; one brother: Al­bert (Frances), Salmon Cove; two sis­ters: Vi­ola (Phillip) Clarke, Car­bon­ear and Lil­lian Kezt­ner, Vir­ginia, USA; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Wa­ter Street, Car­bon­ear. Rev. Ken­neth Pen­ney con­ducted the Fu­neral Ser­vice on Satur­day, July 11 from St. James Angli­can Church, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment took place in the In­ter­faith Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear. NOREN, Mil­li­cent Eloise - The youngest daugh­ter of ten chil­dren from Al­bert and Cora Ann Walsh, passed last Thurs­day morn­ing in her home in Rich­land Hills, Texas. Born in Western Bay on De­cem­ber 22, 1922, she lived her adult life in many parts of the US but never for­got her New­found­land roots and of­ten spoke of her child­hood with fond mem­o­ries and never missed the op­por­tu­nity to en­joy a good meal of fish and brews. Mil­li­cent leaves be­hind her hus­band of 60 years, Charles Noren and her daugh­ter Chris­tine Noren-Gen­try, her son-in­law Calvin Gen­try and one grand­son by birth, Christo­pher Gen­try, and one adopted Justin Manis. She will be greatly missed but her mem­ory will be with us un­til we meet again.

ROYAL, Pa­trick - Passed peace­fully away at Dr. A.A. Wilkin­son Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal, Old Per­li­can on Satur­day, July 4, 2015, Pa­trick Royal of Job’s Cove, age 62 years. Pre­de­ceased by fa­ther: John and mother: Mary Mar­garet; brother: Wil­liam and par­ents-in-law: James F. and Emma H. Pot­tle.
