No raining on parade
Those who took part in this year’s Klondyke Days Parade in Bay Roberts managed to withstand the wind and enjoy a rare — at least for this summer month — sighting of sunshine last Thursday.
The parade was scheduled to go ahead the day before, but rain put a damper on those plans. Instead, dozens of community volunteers and kids paraded along Water Street early Thursday evening, waving at onlookers as they made their way from the Town Hall to the Royal Canadian Legion building.
The Compass dropped by for the event and has these photos to share.
